- No food and drink allowed.
- Please keep your voices low to permit the quiet study of other library users.
- There is a 30-minute limit on computer use if all computers are in use.
- Computers are to be used for DeVry University assignments. The campus maintains a wireless network. Access to the wireless network is provided by the IT Department. Laptops are not able to be plugged into the DeVry University South Florida network except at designated areas.
- Three Conference Rooms are available for use by students, faculty and staff. One-hour reservations are placed with the Library's Check-out Desk workers.
Lending Policies
Lending is limited to currently registered students, faculty, and staff. Audio materials and books can be checked out for 2 weeks, with 2 renewals. The maximum number of items allowed out at any one time is five. Textbooks, reference and reserve materials may not be checked out of the library. Consult with the Library Director for special exceptions to these lending policies.
Photocopies and Copyright Compliance
A photocopier is available in the library for student use. (Cost = $.10) DeVry University follows Fair Use guidelines as established under Copyright Law. The copyright law of the United States (Title 17. United States code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction to be used for private study, scholarship, or research.
Materials Check-out
Student ID cards are required for materials check-out. Library materials are dated with the date due.

Q1: How do I determine what items are available for loan to students and staff?
A1: Use the Voyager Online catalog at http://library.devry.edu
Q2: What types of materials can I check-out from the DeVry University South Florida Library?
A2: Books, videos, compact disks, audiocassettes, magazines, DVDs, newspapers
Q3: How do I check-out materials from the Library?
A3: Present your student ID card or provide your first and last name to the library staff member along with the item. Only currently registered students are eligible to check-out library materials.
Q4: What is the loan period for library materials?
A4: Books , CD-ROMs and audiocassettes are loaned for 2 weeks. DVDs, VHS tapes and magazines are loaned for 1 week.
Q5: Are there fines for late library materials?
A5: Book fines are $.10 per day. Fines for audiovisual materials, including compact disks and DVDs, and magazines are $.25 per day.
Q6: How do I reserve a library conference room?
A6: Reserve one of our three conference rooms by registering at the Check-out desk. A sign-in book is available to make reservations.
Q7: When are the library computers available for student use?
A7: Whenever the library is open. If computers are busy, there is a 30-minute limit on computer use.
Q8: Does the library have a photocopy machine available for student use? What is the cost?
A8: The Library has a Xerox machine which reduces and enlarges. The cost is $.10 per page.
Q9: Does the library have Internet connections available for laptops? Does the campus have a wireless network?
A9: Yes, the library has three designated locations for Internet access. And, students can use the campus wireless network after the
IT Department registers your PC.

A11: Yes, we have a collection of 17,000 books in netLibrary.
Q12: How am I able to locate full-text magazine articles for a class assignment?
