May I post an internship/co-op position with your students?
Yes, DeVry University strongly encourages students to obtain education-related internship/Co-op positions once they complete at least half of their respective programs. The Career Services department plays a crucial role in facilitating a positive experience for both the student and the employer. Most Co-ops are paid positions that offer the student a taste of a "real world" employment experience and typically last at least one semester.
What is a senior project and how may I sponsor one?
All students are required to complete a senior project during their last term. The projects typically consist of teams of students and a faculty advisors working together to solve business and technical problems. To propose a senior project idea, please email elugomartinez@devry.edu.
When do DeVry students graduate?
Students graduate from DeVry three times a year: February, June, and October. There is no summer break, so there is always a pool of students from which to recruit qualified candidates for open positions.
May I give a presentation and/or conduct interviews at the school?
The Career Services Office is equipped with interview spaces that accommodate individuals as well as panels. Our staff will also ensure that the proper presentation space is provided to suit your needs, including any audio-visual equipment that you may require. What are the Curriculum Advisory Boards and how may I get involved?
DeVry University relies heavily on industry to help tailor local program offerings to better meet the needs of employers. The boards meet 2 to 3 times a year at the Miramar campus and occasionally at off-site venues. This is an excellent opportunity for local professionals to give the university feedback and to develop mutually beneficial business relationships with other companies in the South Florida community. Do you host on-campus recruitment fairs?
Yes, There are four on-campus job fairs held throughout the year. A Job Fair is held at the beginning of each term and is a great opportunity for employers to meet current students who are seeking part-time employment while pursuing a degree. The Job Fair is also designed to connect employers with upcoming graduates, recent graduates and alumni seeking education-related career positions.
